12 August 2009	Danby show. Good family day out.
22 - 24 August 2009	Whitby Regatta. One of the oldest sea Regatta in England. 3 days of entertainment, yacht racing, rowing races and other entertainment. Finishes with a spectacular firework display.
22 - 28 August 2009	Whitby Folk week. Traditional folk festival.
26 August 2009	Egton horse & agricultural show. A great day out for all the family at Egton village in the North York Moors National park.
