Fossil Hunting

The coast in between Saltburn and Scarborough is famous for its geology and fossils. You can try and find fossils yourself on the coast. Runswick Bay  is a good place to start. Accommodation

- If you are thinking about visiting the Netherlands, and wonder where to go, the popular sea-side resort of Egmond aan Zee, about 40 minutes north from Amsterdam is a good place to start. The village has a fantastic clean beach, a number of interesting shops, plenty of restaurants and pubs. It is a good base to explore northern Holland. The Holiday Cottage of the Elsinga family is very clean and comfortable and only a minute walk from the town-centre and about 5 minutes walk to the beach.
