Fossil Hunting The coast in between Saltburn and Scarborough is famous for its geology and fossils. You can try and find fossils yourself on the coast. Runswick Bay is a good place to start. Scalby is also a good place for fossil hunting. In "Jackons Bay" in Scalby you can see actual dinosaur footprints. For more information go to www.dinocoast.org.uk.
