Grange Farm is a large house and provides Self Catering Accommodation for 4 to 10 people. It is ideal for a holiday with grandparents and grandchildren, but equally suitable for a group of friends or family who like to come on a walking holiday / weekend break. There are two sitting rooms, a conservatory and a large dining room with a log burning stove. There is a kitchen, as well as utility room. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two additional wc's. It is suitable for large groups, a family holiday or for friends wanting to holiday together. The house is perfect for multi generational groups, and many people come to celebrate a 60th or 70th birthday with the whole family.
Grange Farm is a traditional
Yorkshire stone farmhouse. The house is at least 200 years old (we
think), but it could even be a lot older. The house has some unique
features, like exposed stone walls and door-frames of different
heights and widths.
Children love to play hide and seek in the
house, as there are many rooms to hide in.
Over the last 20 years the property has
undergone extensive restoration works.
Most recent works are: In 2015 the very old sash
windows were replaced with modern double glazed sash windows, and
in 2016 the roof of the house was renewed, and the insulation
upgraded to modern standards, making the house a lot more energy
friendly. The house also benefits from solar power.
Grange Farm holiday cottage Whitby, is located in the village of High Hawsker, on the Yorkshire Coast. Mid way between Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, 2.5 miles from each. Both towns can by reached by foot in less then one hour.
Grange Farm is an excellent base to explore the Yorkshire Coast and the North Yorkshire Moors. There are plenty of activities in the area. Amongst others walking, cycling and of course exploring the little alleys and streets of Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Whale watching is also a fantastic thing to do at certain times of the year.

- Real English hospitality with a touch of European class. This is a beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very well appointed sprawling country home in the quiet village of Hawsker set in the breathtakingly beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. The owners have seamlessly blended timeless history with contemporary mod cons and have provided elite quality appliances, smart heating and cooling, strong wifi, a large pleasant outdoor space and ample parking for numerous vehicles. Tastefully decorated, with delicious quality bedding and excellent furniture throughout, it is plainly evident to see how much the owners care for this property and their guests. The kitchen is well stocked and carefully planned, making cooking for large families a real pleasure. Serving a large family is a real delight as there is plenty sitting room around the massive dining room table, with a great view through to the conservatory and kids play room behind. Another huge relaxation room with many couches is tucked away off the dining room and a lounge with a seating area and large television is on the other side of the house. The cupboards are well stocked with games, toys and books to suit every age and interest and will instantly make all guests feel at home. This is truly a home away from home in every sense and the warmth and dedication of the owners only enhance the holidaying experience. We spent an amazing 7 nights here and every one of our seven children said they would definitely come again.
